Mobility scooter beats Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T in drag race

Postby Driver » July 26th, 2013, 8:35 pm

A custom mobility scooter managed to beat a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T and a Peugeot 106 during drag racing.

And by "custom" we mean it was fitted with the engine taken from a Suzuki GSX-600F motorcycle. The modified mobility scooter is the work of John McNeil, Richard Underwood and Dale Glover who are saying it can reach a top speed of more than 140 mph (225 km/h) but they didn't have enough space to test it. They did however manage to run the quarter mile at 102.2 mph (164 km/h).

In these two videos we see the mobility scooter beating not only a modest Peugeot 106, but also a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T which does the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in around 6.2 seconds thanks to its 247 bhp (184 kW) output.
